I’m Rachelle, a home school momma who is obsessed with Disney World and classical education. My family travels as much as possible and we often even try to take little weekend adventures. I’ve been homeschooling for eight years now and have three children–a seventh grader, a fifth grader, and a preschooler. I am a local director for Classical Conversations, a home school co-op company that helps us regular, everyday parents give our kids a top notch classical education. We are just wrapping up our third year in the program, with my oldest in Challenge A, my middle child in Foundations and Essentials, and my youngest completing his first year of Foundations. I have had the privilege of tutoring Challenge A this year with the most amazing group of kids I’ve ever known and I’ll be carrying on to Challenge B with them next year.
On the travel side, well, our adventures vary from close to home to cross country. We are presently working hard at planning out our Route 66 adventure next spring. In the past couple of years, we’ve been to Plymouth Rock, walked the Freedom Trail, spent much time at Disney World, cruised to the Bahamas, and been to countless museums everywhere in between. In the coming months we are planning a test run on the closest section of Route 66 (Chicago to Springfield) as practice for the grand tour next year, Niagara Falls, and Kennedy Space Center.
My hope for this blog is to help others plan their family adventures and also to inspire home school moms to put down the textbooks and get out into the world!
